You have gone through the resume building process and have crafted a top-notch document. But is it really enough? No. It’s not just your skills, experience, and accomplishments that decide whether or not you need to take that job-whether or not you are fit for the company’s culture which also just as important.

How do you determine this?

· Identify yourself in the JD.

Initially, I need to go through the job description posted by the company. Agreed, companies only post and focus on the needs rather than focusing on the candidates. While having the right skills, knowledge, experience, and accomplishments are important for specific job roles-the company should pay equal attention to as why you want to work there. Identify job postings by companies that take up a different angle and demonstrates the company’s culture and career opportunities.

· Consider the communication style.

You also need to consider the companies the communication style. Are you getting responses from the company on the hiring manager in adequate time during the hiring process? If the company or the hiring manager is lenient towards time? There is always a chance that they won’t respect yours once you start working for them. They need to treat you professionally and need to stick to a proper in-time communication style.

· Does it impact your personal life?

Also, you need to consider how the business or company if you see to work in affect your personal life. Is it interfering with your personal development goals? Does it change your daily routine? Is it affecting your health how are your relationships? If you have a busy schedule in your personal life, you need to consider these important factors determine whether or not you are fit for the company.

· Align your purpose.

You can’t work with the company that shares a different purpose than yours. If you can’t value company goals or targets, there is a high chance that you will get bored of the job. According to career and resume building professional, if you have to spend time and energy on to something, make sure that it matches your purpose. Money is just not the only factor. For example, if you’re passionate about living a healthy life, then obviously you won’t like walking with the liquor company. You want to work with the company that makes the world better or at least with the one which can connect to your purpose.

· Pay attention to the company culture.

You also need to see that the corporate culture matches your lifestyle and values. Having an enthusiastic work environment might be good, but the word enthusiastic might have different meanings for you and the company. Make sure you clearly understand the corporate culture before you start working with them. Some of the questions you can ask yourself are, is the work/life balance Acknowledged? How many days are expected to work in a week? What is the dress code? Are there any benefits rather than the ones mentioned in the job posting?

· Will you be recognized?

Identifying whether or not the company will actually recognise your efforts or appreciate them is also one of the crucial aspects to consider before accepting a job offer. There is no denying the fact that getting recognised for your work plays a huge role in the progress of an employee. You can get in touch with previous co-workers or the ones that are currently working there and ask them about this. If a company has a recognition rich environment, they will definitely promote it.
